On July 17th, 2002, EPA issued a final rule amending the Oil Pollution Prevention regulation SPCC requirements Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Part 112 (Oil Pollution Prevention).

EPA Fines Garden & Pet Product Supplier $69,000 for Failing to Notify Authorities of a Hazardous Release

Fines can go up to $37,500 per violation per day.  Note: EPA has increased penalty to $32,500.
